Apple, Almonds and Saffron Cake.

The most traditional of desserts.

Even the most traditional of desserts can become exclusive thanks to the addition of ingredients capable of giving a unique touch.

Fundamental Step: dip the Bio saffron pistils in half a glass of hot water, leaving them to infuse for about 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally.

Cut the apples into slices and put them to marinate in lemon juice, adding half a glass of saffron in pistils. While leaving to rest for about half an hour, beat the eggs with the sugar, adding milk, olive oil, flour and a packet of baking powder.

Arrange the mixture on a baking tray, placing the apples, previously immersed in the syrup.

Add the chopped almonds and bake at 160-170 degrees Celsius for about half an hour.

  • 4 eggs
  • 4 apples
  • A handful of chopped almonds
  • Lemon juice
  • 13 tablespoons of sugar
  • 18 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 glass of milk
  • 1 glass of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • Organic saffron in pistils (approximately 0.10 grams)
